From The Greensborough Patriot

From The Greensborough Patriot

June 12, 1862 – Pg. 3

A Narrow Escape.

Lt. Hooper, (Capt. C. C. Cole’s Co.) in the late battle of Richmond, was touched by four different shots of the enemy, but one of which gave him pain.  A ball passed through the arm, just below the shoulder, inflicting a painful flesh wound; another touched the top of his cap; another cut a button from his coat; and another passed through the leg of his pantaloons.  We were happy to meet him in our town a few days ago, and though disabled for a time, we hope he will soon recover sufficiently to rejoin his company.
